The authors of Call of Duty Warzone issued a warning for cheaters
Many fans of the Call of Duty series are looking forward to the release of the new game Vanguard, which will take place November 5. Well, they prefer to spend the remaining time before him in the royal battle of Warzone. But not everyone succeeds in winning battles in an honest way — cheating in the game has long been a serious problem.
Because of this, publisher Activision published a video in which he addressed numerous cheaters.
The video says that the number of users blocked for using prohibited programs has exceeded 100 000. But the most interesting part of the video — the reaction of one of the players, taken from his Tiktok channel, in which he talks about his ban in Warzone.
A user named Rushman360 sarcastically rudely congratulated Activision on the improvement of the anti-cheat system and said that now all accounts were blocked for him (including those that have not been used for a long time), moreover, he was banned even by hardware ID. After that, the publisher warned the players: "We know what you are doing."
The story could have been instructive if not for one thing: since then, Rushman360 has already posted several gameplay videos on his YouTube channel, where you can see that he activates cheats for aiming.
Some users have suggested that this whole situation is most likely either a PR stunt, or the player just got banned due to a glitch in their program, since many popular cheat programs come with hardware ID spoofing tools, and he was it is enough to correctly configure the software to return to the game.
According to others, the player was able to overcome the hardware lock by replacing the processor, which allowed him to get a new ID. Several major news outlets have already reached out to Activision for clarification, so the story is likely to continue.
