GOG Withdraws Hitman GOTY Edition Due to Negative User Feedback

The release of Hitman GOTY Edition on GOG turned out to be a real disaster for the administration of this service. At first the game "drowned" in negative reviews, and now it has been removed from sale altogether.

A few weeks ago, a special edition titled Hitman Game of The Year Edition was released on GOG. True, this project almost immediately found itself in the center of an unpleasant scandal, and therefore it is very difficult to call this event successful.

It turned out that in offline stealth action only allows you to play story and bonus missions, and access to all other content (Escalation missions, elusive targets and user contracts) requires an Internet connection.

As a result, on October 8, GOG released a statement, where they emphasized that they had studied the situation and the users were right — in this form, the game should not have appeared in the store.
