Costumes and two new modes: a new patch for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been released

Developer From Software has confirmed that the free update for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twiceis now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Xbox One. It adds new game modes, unlockable clothing, and a replay feature that allows players to upload recordings of their ghosts.

The update includes two new modes: Gauntlet of Strength and Reflection of Strength. The first is the boss attack, where players only have one life to defeat as many enemies as possible. The latter allows players to fight any previously defeated boss as many times as they wish. As with most From Software games, any of these bosses can keep you fighting for hours. This is especially true for the very last boss in the game.

If you lose the Reflection of Power battle, you will be thrown back to the sculptor's idol and you can immediately try again. Variants of some of the most popular bosses are also included.

The update also adds three different costumes that the White Wolf can use to change his appearance. Two of them are unlocked by completing the newly added challenges, while the third can be obtained by defeating Sekiro once. Outfits can be changed in Sculptor's Idols.

Finally, the update adds the ability for players to upload 30-second recordings of their gameplay for other players to see, similar to previous From Software games such as Bloodborne and Dark Souls. These recordings can be used to show players where secrets such as enemies or treasures are, as well as how to defeat difficult and/or frustrating bosses.
