Netflix will work on some Assassin's Creed series
Netflix announced that it is working with Ubisoft on several adaptations of the Assassin's Creed.
Jason Altman and Daniel Kreinick of Ubisoft Film and Television will serve as executive producers on the live-action adaptation, but it's still in the very early stages.
Given the nature of Assassin's Creed, they may all take place in different historical eras. Netflix also shared a teaser video of the killer's flashy red logo.
This isn't the first time that Assassin's Creed has been adapted by Hollywood. The 2016 2016 film starring Michael Fassbender was set during the Spanish Inquisition, but it was a critical failure. Ubisoft has been adapting films and television for a long time, including animated shows, but even created its own division
Netflix has already begun adapting several Ubisoft series, including Skull & Bones and Beyond Good & Evil.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft continues to develop its fantasy on Assassin's Creed in part video games, with the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
This game, set in the Viking Age, will release on November 10, right after the launch of Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.
