Cyberpunk 2077 patch delayed as developers can't access their VPN

Earlier today, CD Projekt Red announced that the second major patch for Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed until end of March, and he cited a recent ransomware attack as well as the extensive scope of the patch as reasons why.

The company didn't go into details, but the Bloomberg report cites anonymous sources as saying things are even worse than we probably thought. p>

For employees already facing the nightmarish prospect of hackers exposing their personal information, "most" have not been able to access their workstations for the past two weeks.

Because the ransom has not been paid, the developers are unable to connect to the VPN to access the tools they need from home, and have apparently been asked to submit their computers to the IT department so they can be scanned for malware.

Cyberpunk 2077 was already a uniquely troubled project, and the recent attack is only making things worse.
