Real gameplay footage of Dune Awakening with an overview of the game interface leaked online
The ambitious online action game Dune Awakening on Unreal Engine 5 from developers from the Funcom studio still does not have a release date. Some insiders say the game will be released at the end of this year, while others believe that its release will take place no earlier than mid-2025. It’s not entirely clear which of them to believe, but today’s leak absolutely confirms the final stage of production. Screenshots of the latest current build of Dune Awakening have been leaked to the network, which already looks very polished.
The published footage demonstrates the real gameplay of the action game based on the famous Dune universe. In addition, they can see the entire user interface, including the skill tree and other auxiliary navigation elements.
The images were shared by a user under the nickname SnooOranges3876. He doesn't say where he got the footage of the current Dune Awakening build, but he does hint at some connections to the game's testing team. According to the author of the leak, the active testing phase of the game has been going on for more than 400 hours of real time.
A separate team of testers, as well as the developers themselves from Funcom, are taking part in testing Dune Awakening. They work in close coordination to iron out some mechanics and eliminate bugs before the game's release. This may indicate that the project may still be released this year.
