RoboCop: Rogue City length, story and gameplay details
Several new previews of RoboCop: Rogue City, the first-person shooter featuring the 80s sci-fi icon, have surfaced online today, resulting in new details, as well as a gameplay video of around 15 minutes, which you can watch right now .
From an article published by IGN, RoboCop: Rogue City will offer a campaign lasting approximately 20-30 hours. The story takes place between RoboCop movies 2 and 3, and the decisions made by cybercop Alex Murphy affect the plot in the finale, although it's not clear how much they will diverge.
Apart from the sections where you have to destroy everything that moves on the screen, the game has stages of investigation, culminating in the collection of evidence and testimony, as well as operations to apprehend the criminals inhabiting the streets of Detroit.
There will be secondary missions, also in this case with player decisions that will determine them development and outcome. In fact, there will be several options in the dialogues, and in many cases they can also be solved peacefully.
Players will also be able to choose how to improve the main character with combat skill upgrades, armor, and various gadgets available. For example, it will be possible to upgrade armor to the point where it can deflect projectiles from enemies or unlock a deadly electric wave capable of destroying multiple targets at once.
RoboCop: Rogue City is in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, scheduled to launch in September 2023.
