The authors of Alan Wake 2 were inspired by The Evil Within and are ready to welcome developers from the now closed studio Tango Gameworks
Today, Microsoft and its gaming division Xbox made another controversial decision. Top managers considered it necessary to liquidate several experienced development studios at once, who managed to give gamers unique gaming worlds. One of the affected teams was the Japanese studio Tango Gameworks, responsible for Hi-Fi Rush and The Evil Within. Many users on social networks have already expressed support for the development team, and official representatives of Remedy were among those who were concerned. The Finnish studio is ready to accept all affected programmers and designers.
Remedy Entertainment explained this action by the fact that the work of Tango Gameworks largely influenced the studio’s latest projects. In particular, the recent hit Alan Wake 2 was inspired by the horror series The Evil Within. The team was inspired by the game's dark imagery, as well as the mystical storyline. In addition, the Remedy team highly appreciated the unusual gameplay in Hi-Fi Rush.
- said Alan Wake 2 game designer Kyle Rowley.
He also added that these are the types of specialists needed in modern gaming industry. He, along with Remedy, will be happy to work with the developers of Tango Gameworks, who were forced to leave their jobs due to Microsoft's decision.
