The community manager of Helldivers 2, who called on players to protest against Sony's decision, was fired

The community manager of Helldivers 2 claims that he was fired after calling for a fight against Sony, lowering ratings and issuing refunds in order to influence Sony's decision to compulsorily link PlayStation Network accounts.

After last year The week it was announced that Helldivers 2 PC players would be forced to create PSN accounts in order to continue playing, a tsunami of protests hit Sony and Arrowhead. As the outcry grew, community manager Spitz began actively encouraging players to voice their opinions as it would give Arrowhead "more leverage in discussions with Sony" to get the decision reversed. Shortly after Sony announced the changes, more than 200,000 negative reviews appeared on the Helldivers 2 Steam page, and the decision was eventually reversed, but not without casualties.

On the official Helldivers 2 Discord channel, Spitz reported , which is no longer Arrowhead's community manager and does not work for the studio at all. He also made it clear that this was not his decision.
