The creator of Mortal Kombat 1 hinted at skins based on the 1995 film

NetherRealm has released the first trailer for Mortal Kombat 1's next DLC character, Homelander from The Boys. He's pretty faithful to the character (right down to the milk), but that's not all fans can expect. On Twitter, director Ed Boon also hinted at the addition of character skins based on the film Mortal Kombat. 1995.

Only Scorpion was introduced, with images showing his appearance in the pre-battle scene, during the battle, and when viewed outside of battle. The equipment is fairly faithful to the source material, and it seems a given that other characters will receive the same, although which ones are not yet known.

Stay tuned for details and updates soon. As for Homelander, he will join the roster this spring, with no release date yet announced. Mavado will join as a cameo fighter in May.

Mortal Kombat 1 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch.
