The head of development of Stellar Blade and the head of the Shift Up studio, Kim Hyun Tae, has repeatedly spoken about the sources of inspiration. When creating an action game with charming female characters, the team was guided by NieR: Automata, Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, God of War, Sekiro and many other projects. In a recent interview, the game designer decided to share his deepest secrets and revealed his favorite female characters in games. As it turns out, Kim Hyun Tae adores strong and independent heroines, who are sex symbols for many gamers.
During a conversation with journalists from the Australian magazine Stack, Kim said that he is a big fan of Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 and 2B from Nier: Automata. The Korean developer fell in love with these heroines at first sight for their overall design and character. According to him, they combine attractive appearance and really strong personality traits that are worth admiring and even taking as an example. Judging by Kim's words, he even has figurines of these heroines at home. Besides 2B and Tifa, his favorite strong girls from games include Michelle and Nina from the Tekken fighting game series.
