Uncharted 4 is coming to PC next year
The gaming community has long been disturbed by rumors that Sony is preparing to port one of its main exclusives to personal computers. The rumors have been fueled by both some promising statements by the Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO and the company's leaked financial statement.
But now this news has finally received official confirmation, and what's more — At yesterday's Sony PlayStation Showcase, the publisher unveiled a trailer for the updated version of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and the spin-off Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Both games will be released simultaneously for PC and PlayStation 5 as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
The fourth installment in the Uncharted series was released as a previous-generation console exclusive in May 2016. It completes the story of adventurer Nathan Drake, who this time goes to collect the treasure of the legendary Pirate King Henry Avery.
The plot of the game reveals many interesting moments about the past of the protagonist and his relationship with his brother, in addition, along with the search for treasure, a fascinating drama is unfolding, tied to the relationship between Nathan and his wife Elena.
The Uncharted: The Lost Legacy spin-off was released in 2017 and focuses on the story of two treasure hunters: mercenary Nadine Ross and Drake's longtime rival Chloe Fraser . Both are searching for the ancient Indian city of Halibidhoo, the location of a mysterious lost civilization, and are forced to join forces to achieve success.
The exclusives were ported by Iron Galaxy, the acclaimed adaptation of Overwatch and Diablo 3 for Nintendo Switch, while Naughty Dog handled the technical improvements.
According to the developer, the games will be visually improved, the frame rate will increase, and several new settings will appear. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is slated for release in 2022.
