Next Metro game will have multiplayer

Yesterday Metro 2033 turned 10 years of release and to celebrate, 4A put together a neat timeline in the form of a subway map for both books and games, and revealed a bit more about the next game in this series.

In his blog post, 4A writes:

It's no secret that we've already started work on the next Metro game. Using everything we've learned over the last 15 years, we've set ourselves even higher goals - the next game is being built for 9th Gen Console and PC, with a complete overhaul of our engine and renderer.

First, we're committed to delivering a great single-player story experience; this is what the Metro series is based on. As a studio, we want to constantly push ourselves to make bigger and better games, but we also listen to what the fans have to say and we know what's important to you.
