Valve has updated its refund policy on Steam
The refund policy for pre-ordered items purchased on Steam has been updated. Games that are available for pre-order and include Extended Access (a feature that allows players who pre-order a game to try out the product before the official release on Steam) can be returned back to request a refund.
The player has the right to request a refund funds for purchases on Steam for numerous reasons (the PC does not meet the system requirements of the project, the game was purchased by mistake, the product was not to your taste, and you tried it for no more than two hours). Regardless of the circumstances, funds will be returned to Valve, however the request must be made through "Support". Users in some regions may even have additional rights to request a return if the product is defective. Funds are transferred to your Steam wallet (or the payment method used to purchase the game is taken into account). It is worth considering that some payment methods available in your country do not support returns at all, so you should familiarize yourself with the list.
Consider the time period during which you can return funds - 2 weeks from the date of purchase and subject to using the game for no more than two hours.
The update list concerns refunds for additional charges. content, in-game purchases, early and extended access games, unused Steam Wallet money, renewable subscriptions and much more. Due to the large amount of information useful to users, I suggest that you familiarize yourself with it in a special article.
