Escape the monsters and hunters through the ancient ruins. Play as Abe from Oddworld in a remake of the PlayStation classic — Abe's Oddysee. Abe was a happy polisher at the Oddworld meat factory, but learned the boss's secret plan: to turn the slaves into RuptureFarms Tasty Treats. Now Abe is escaping the meat grinder. Slaughterhouse Escape — only the beginning of an odyssey! The path to the heritage of one's people is thorny. In the game New 'n' Tasty improved graphics and sound, improved gameplay – this is a new life of the original Oddworld game!
The game is now divided into large levels where the camera follows Abe — and sometimes approaches or deviates slightly to give the player a better view.
All characters and scenery are now in 3D — and they look very impressive: on the walls of ancient temples you can see the smallest cracks; arachnid paramites and mutant crab-like scrubs seem even more repulsive than before; mines wink menacingly with red lights, lasers flicker, factory pipes gleam dully.
While the appearance of New 'n' Tasty was polished, the gameplay in the game remained almost unchanged. As before, Abe cannot attack enemies directly — instead, he sets traps for them, throws grenades at them, makes them attack each other, and even subdues some opponents with the help of telepathy. Toward the end of the adventure, the heroic Mudokon acquires a superpower that allows you to clear the screen of mines and all adversaries in one fell swoop, but it is not used very often.
In other words, to complete the game, you will not have to demonstrate shooting skills, but observation, planning and patience. Basically the latter: in New 'n' Tasty hero dies with the same ease as in the original game, except that checkpoints now come across a little more often.
