1C Game Studios announces collaboration with the Ermolova Drama Theater to work on the action game War of the Worlds: Siberia

Moscow Drama Theater named after M.N. Ermolova and 1C Game Studios will work together on the game “War of the Worlds: Siberia”, where domestic actors will participate in the creation of characters.

They will make digital images of artists to create game characters, faces and movements, and the actors will also make voicing their characters.

A video is presented demonstrating the development process, which describes how to record animations and work with the theater.

The announcement of “War of the Worlds: Siberia” took place in August 2023. The game is supposed to be a linear third-person action adventure where, in an alternate 1896, the Earth is invaded by Martians, and several heroes flee panic-stricken Petrograd further into the east of the Russian Empire.

The release is planned for PC, and then on consoles.
