Denuvo protection removed from The Callisto Protocol

Today, KRAFTON publishing house and Striking Distance Studios have released a new update for The Callisto Protocol - in which the developers have removed the Austrian Denuvo defense from the game. After removing the protection, the size of the EXE file decreased by 230 MB. The protection was removed 16 months after the game's release.

The events of the game take place in 2320 on the deceased satellite of Jupiter Callisto, where the player will have to try to escape from the Black Iron prison and uncover its terrifying secrets. The main character, Jacob Lee, by the will of fate ended up in this prison. Due to a strange disease, some prisoners began to turn into monsters and the prison plunged into chaos. Jacob will have to fight his way through the most bloodthirsty monsters and do whatever it takes to get to safety.

The game was released on December 2, 2022 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game received average ratings from critics - the score on Metacritic is 69 points.
