In honor of the 20th anniversary of the cult shooter Painkiller, the developers posted a trailer as a sign of gratitude to the fans

Yesterday, April 12, the brutal shooter Painkiller turned 20 years old! On this occasion, the developers from the People Can Fly studio decided to pay tribute to the project and the fans, thanks to which a small Polish company was able to turn into a fairly large and respected studio. The short video has exactly those features for which players fell in love with Painkiller back in the early 2000s: fast pace, driving music, meaty shootouts and a gloomy atmosphere.

As for the current state of affairs, a sequel was announced in the summer of 2021 , however, there are no significant details about the development progress yet. Perhaps this year, at least small grains of information, on the occasion of the anniversary of the series, will still appear. Hope, as they say, “dies last”...
