Mass Effect 5 is being led by four BioWare veterans, Michael Gamble confirms
BioWare's Michael Gamble assured fans that the next Mass Effect game, currently simply called Mass Effect 5, is in good hands, with a number of veteran developers involved in its creation.
Speaking on Twitter, Gamble responded to a fan's question about whether Mass Effect 5 actually features series veterans, and he confirmed that "the executive producer, game director, art director, creative director are all veterans of the trilogy."
Before release Mass Effect 5 is currently still very far away, and Jeff Grubb said last year that he wouldn't be surprised if the upcoming sci-fi space epic didn't see the light of day until 2029. Meanwhile, Jez Cordon said during an Xbox Two podcast in September 2023 that the new Mass Effect would "ditch the open world and go back to its classic formula."
Although BioWare hasn't said anything at all yet about the game (unsurprisingly, given that it's still a long way off), she confirmed that Mass Effect 5 is being considered as a single-player game.
