Play it yourself, Ubisoft: The Crew Motorfest only has 300 reviews on Steam, only 44% of them are positive
On April 18, the game The Crew Motorfest was released on Steam. Despite the fact that Ubisoft released the game in the store immediately with a 50% discount, this does not seem to have helped its sales at all. It seems that the publisher, with its recent actions of closing servers and revoking the license of the original The Crew, has completely killed players' interest in this franchise.
Three days after the game's release, it has only 299 reviews, which indicates extremely low popularity project - most likely Ubisoft was able to sell only a few thousand copies, which generally agrees with the general order of sales that the SteamSpy service assumes. Moreover, most of these reviews are negative - currently only 44% of reviews are positive. The overall user rating for the game is “mixed.”
Apparently, Ubisoft’s arrogant actions have led to the fact that players are simply afraid of buying something that, after a while, could be unilaterally taken away from their library. In addition, the game also has a mark from the curator Sweet Baby Inc Detected - thus, The Crew Motorfest has collected a whole set of negative associations among players.
If the company does not reconsider its policy regarding support for online games, there is a chance that players will also avoid other Ubisoft games.
