The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 thanked the original creator of the universe for their cooperation

The dark, cruel and even overly depressing plot of the game Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED is based on the unique world of the tabletop role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020 by Mike Pondsmith. The other day, the famous board game designer celebrated his 69th birthday, and therefore received a special congratulation from the CD Projekt RED team. Polish developers thanked Pondsmith for creating a thoughtful cyberpunk universe and helping in the development of Cyberpunk 2077.

Mike Pondsmith, together with scriptwriters from CD Projekt RED, worked on filling the world of Cyberpunk 2077. He also actively consulted the developers to interpret some important events from the original world.

Studio head Adam Badowski also noted Pondsmith’s high contribution to the Cyberpunk 2077 gaming universe. According to the developer, he helped the team develop your imagination and show off a cool cyberpunk setting.
