Elden Ring release delayed by a month
One of the most anticipated games of early 2022, being developed by From Software and writer George Martin, has been delayed by a month. The developer announced the postponement of the release date on his official Twitter account.
The game was originally slated for release on January 21st, but as the project progressed, it became clear that the team needed more time as "the depth and strategic freedom of Elden Ring exceeded initial expectations." In other words, the game world and gameplay system still needs some work.
From Software PR Manager Yasuhiro Kitao assured that the game is in the final stages of creation. Also, according to him, unlike many other open world projects, it will not have too many additional quests or monotonous tasks.
Meanwhile The developers have announced closed testing of Elden Ring multiplayer. It will run from November 12 to November 14, 2021. Support for cross-platform mode between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles has been announced, separate servers will be allocated for the joint game of owners of Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S. There will be no PC testing.
50,000 randomly selected players will participate. This opportunity is also open to residents of Eastern Europe, including Ukraine and Russia. You can apply until November 1 on the publisher's website Bandai Namco.
Elden Ring will release simultaneously on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5. The publisher has confirmed the possibility of a free upgrade from the PS4/Xbox One versions to the next generation console versions.
