Halo: The Master Chief Collection gets major update
This is a very large update, weighing in at over 41.53GB on Xbox One. The Steam version is approximately 25.4GB, while the Microsoft Store / Game Pass for PC is limited to 47.95GB.
An important element is the Series X/S improvements which include up to 4K / 120fps for those with compatible screens and devices. You'll be able to get 120fps support in campaign and multiplayer on both next-gen consoles, while 4K is limited to the Series X version; The S-series runs at 1080p. You also get improvements for split-screen multiplayer and the ability to change field of view settings, which is not often available in console games.
In addition, the update adds cross-platform play to The Master Chief Collection on Xbox and PC. Players can choose their preferred input device when launching the game after an update, and this can be changed at any time.
As for when we'll be able to see more Halo Infinite, it probably won't be anytime soon. Microsoft has ruled out releasing a new video at The Game Awards in December.
