Mortal Shell DLC Coming This Summer

Playstack and developer Cold Symmetry announced The Virtuous Cycle add-on for their hardcore RPG Mortal Shell as part of the IGN Expo show.

The creators of Mortal Shell did not disclose details about the add-on itself, but promised to do so at the "proper time". It is reported that The Virtuous Cycle will go on sale next summer.

The Virtuous Cycle will appear on all current Mortal Shell target platforms — PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, — and also on Steam, where the game is still unavailable.

The Virtuous Cycle announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer (attached above). In the video, the character scatters enemies with a transforming weapon, which turns into a spear, then into an ax, then into twin blades.

Mortal Shell debuted in August 2020, and will reach Steam this summer. Since its original release, the game has sold over 500,000 copies.
