Details of Judas, the next game from BioShock creator Ken Levine, from foreign media previews
Levine's studio Ghost Story Games invited select media outlets including IGN and Geoff Keeley to play the game for 5-6 hours, and now they've shared their thoughts on what they played. IGN's report calls the game "a first-person shooter that will feel familiar to BioShock fans in terms of gameplay."
The main character is Judas, a previously deceased but now "reborn" woman aboard a "spaceship the size of with a city" called "Mayflower". The ship transports the last surviving representatives of humanity from Earth to a new planet called Promia Centauri. Judas interacts with the ship's three leaders—Tom, Nefertiti, and Hope—and the player must decide which one to help because helping one leader may upset the other, in a structure that Levine calls "narrative Lego."
Keeley shared his first impressions of the video on X, saying that the game still feels like a BioShock game to some extent.
Keely also notes that the game is "by no means finished," suggesting that it may still take some time before its release. Back in October 2020, it was reported that Levine's next game was entering a "later stage" of production.
