EA prioritizes Battlefield
Last fall, it was confirmed that another Battlefield game was in development.
The title aims to push the boundaries of previous Battlefield innovations while remaining true to the franchise's versatile multiplayer experience.
"DICE is building our next Battlefield game on a scale never seen before," said EA.
"The technical advances of the new consoles allow the team to realize the true vision of the next generation franchise.
We're doing hands-on testing of the game internally and the team is getting very positive feedback on the game as we start to get our community involved."
The next chapter of the franchise should start in the second half of 2021.
Today Laura Miele, CEO of EA, reported Polygon, which is Criterion Games, a developer working on the upcoming Need for Speed.
Now given the task of prioritizing the next game Battlefield.
The recent acquisition of Codemasters, makers of the Dirt and F1 racing franchises, means that Criterion Games may be moving on to another, possibly more current project, such as Battlefield 6.< /p>
Unfortunately, this also means that Need for Speed will be delayed until 2022.
